As innovators in easy and effective parent communications systems, Schoolcomms supported a recent study headed up by the Education Endowment Foundation which looked at use of new technology in raising pupil attainment. Schoolcomms was involved by providing the software as a means to text parents as part of the research study.

The research has now been published, and it shows that texting parents about tests and homework can improve exam results and reduce absenteeism. A news article in the BBC highlights how the results show a ‘positive impact’ on attainment, and a report from The Guardian talks of how texting parents is proven to be the most ‘cost-effective’ method of improving attainment.
