How did you hear of Schoolcomms?

Our finance officer started it off, our old systems were clunky and we were in a good place to move to another system.

We had a demo of the system and a free trial. Compared to other systems Schoolcomms seemed easy to use whereas others were clunky. We spoke to another school that already used Schoolcomms and they were very complimentary. We did our homework, we put together a comparison of other systems and Schoolcomms was the obvious choice.

We use Schoolcomms Messaging, Payments, Online Reporting and Parents Evening, everything being in one place makes things a lot easier. The software works well and everyone who has seen the system says it ticks all the boxes. We now have swifter communications between school and home and parents are really engaged with their child’s school life as School Gateway provides somewhere for them to go to view this.

We’re saving money on postage as we’re able to use Messaging to send emails and texts and also in-app messages to parents who’ve signed up. We’re keen to drive the app to parents even more in September as this saves even more money, we think the app also looks fantastic and is so intuitive.

How was the transition from your old system to Schoolcomms?

There are lots of changes happening in the school at the moment, but the change to Schoolcomms was smooth and it rolled out beautifully. It was so seamless because it integrates so well with SIMS, all the data was already there so we just had to download Schoolcomms onto our system and it was ready to use.

I would definitely recommend Schoolcomms, from a technical perspective it’s so easy to set up and it has been so worth the change in terms of saving us money.
