Schoolcomms wins the Hertfordshire schools online payments tender

Hertfordshire tendered for electronic payments for their schools this year, and after a thorough review of the market and procurement process, we were delighted to have been chosen to fulfil the new contract. All of Hertfordshire’s primary schools use the SIMS Dinner Money module and our seamless integration with this product has proven a huge benefit to schools.

Automating Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs management

‘Clubs’ launched in Spring, and has been building a loyal following from schools to manage activities, breakfast and after-school clubs.

The January 2016 release sees parents:
• signing up for activities,
• booking their children into specific sessions and
• paying for forthcoming commitments

All available via the free School Gateway website or mobile app

Schools can use Clubs with or without our payments system, so it’s even suitable for schools that don’t charge for activities!

Customer Support goes from strength to strength


Our highly regarded Customer Support service now has an online element too: For customers who’d rather look online than call our team, the website now includes a BRAND NEW easy to navigate Support section with information including training videos, enhanced search functionality and a Service Status traffic light.

New Technology – Innovating with the Apple Watch

In their lunch break our developers have been playing around with developing an Apple Watch app. Like the School Gateway smartphone app, it pulls data from SIMS (just timetables at this point) and dinner money balances. Great for busy parents or staff!

Spring Seminars for schools in your area

We have 30 seminars lined up around the country for Spring Term showing new and existing customers the latest features and functionality of Schoolcomms. If you or your colleagues would like to come along to an event near you or to see what we’re going to present, contact our Local Authority Liaison Manager.

Equally, if you want to run a session for your schools – we’re currently scheduling a number of sessions with LA teams specifically around Clubs as a result of requests from schools.
